Dorper Sheep
Fast-maturing meat sheep bred for arid conditions. Deep bodied, clean shedding and heavy on the carcass.
- Rapid weight gain
- Hardy in semi-arid zones
- Excellent mothering ability
John’s Farm rears Dorper sheep and Galla dairy goats on open Kenyan pasture. We sell breeding stock, lambs and kids, meat, fresh goat milk and composted manure straight from the farm gate.
What began with a handful of ewes has grown into one of the region’s trusted sources of small-stock genetics. We keep our numbers matched to our pasture, we know every breeding animal by record, and we would rather sell fewer animals than sell weak ones.
Farmers come to us for stock that survives the dry season and keeps producing. Households and butcheries come to us for milk and meat they can trace back to the paddock it came from.
